The article notes that the company has been around since 1843 and has always employed the blind or disabled as employees. However, in 2010 the company was re-launched as a non-profit organization and charity whose focus is on social responsibility. Since the re-launch, the Glencraft has increased revenue to 1.2 million pounds in 2014 while still maintaining a majority of blind or disabled employees.
